Your Opportunity:

The Drumheller Health Centre is seeking a confident and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our rural hospital team. In this unique role, you’ll be a vital member of both the interdisciplinary team and the community, delivering high-quality, patient- and family centered care while building lasting connections. This position offers the chance to practice to the full scope of your profession in a collaborative, evidence-based environment. In our supportive team, you will provide care in multiple areas including acute care, labour and delivery, ICU, and emergency. Each day brings variety and reward as you assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with diverse needs. Success in this role requires adaptability, strong critical thinking, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster trusted relationships. Description:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

As Required.

Preferred Qualifications:

NRP, Emergency Room, CTAS, Labour and Delivery experience considered an asset.
