Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of IT, the Project Manager will lead and direct Information Technology projects. This includes defining a project plan, budget, driving the execution, financial tracking, quality control and final delivery of the project while adhering to required PMO project documentation and processes. The Project Manager is responsible for all communications, including that with project sponsors and stakeholders, as well as the IT Leadership team. In addition, they must identify any risks or issues on the project, escalate these as required and propose corrective action plans. The incumbent must demonstrate superior collaboration skills and techniques to effectively mobilize cross-functional team members to meet project objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders
- Define project success criteria and communicate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Drive project teams through the project phases to meet milestones
- Manage risks, opportunities, changes, and conflict resolution within projects
- Create project budgets and forecasts
- Work closely with IT Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Perform administrative tasks related to the projects such as : booking meetings, creating agendas, meeting minutes, preparing presentations, and documentation
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management and share with the PMO Team
- Conduct project lessons learned and provide recommendations in order to recognize successes and identify areas for improvement
