Job description

What you’ll do:

  • Engage with customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.

  • Ensure department standards are met with inventory, ordering, stocking and displaying merchandise.

  • Follow opening procedures.

  • Follow safety procedures at all times.

  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions.

  • Follow department standards for stock rotation, including First In First Out (FIFO).

  • Work a variety of shifts, including days, weekends, and holidays.

  • Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative’s vision, mission, values and focus on safety.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team operations and customer service initiatives.

Who you are:

  • You are able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. Loads exceeding 50 lbs will be managed with lifting equipment or assistance in accordance with safety guidelines.

  • You are able to stand and move throughout your shift, including walking, bending, and reaching wile staying active with tasks such as assisting customers, unloading freight and stocking shelves.

  • You are action oriented, customer focused and work well on your own.

  • You can handle competing deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • You are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.

  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver meaningful solutions, valuing diverse perspectives to meet shared objectives.
