Erie Meats is a privately owned & operated Canadian company with headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario and processing facilities in both Mississauga and Listowel, Ontario.JOB SUMMARYWe are seeking aMaintenance Mechanicto join our team.Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for ensuring that the equipment for multiple production lines is running properly and efficiently; includes blenders, grinders, and various food processing and packaging units.
ABOUT THE POSITION

• Teardown and setup production equipment as needed, including completing changeovers as perproduction schedule.
• Troubleshoot and solve various mechanical issues as they arise.
• Provide support to other maintenance staff including Electricians, Millwrights and Powerhouse.
• Perform regular routines without direct supervision.Advise Production or Maintenance Manager ofany issues that could impact production.
• Complete associated documentation as established by Erie Meat Products for inventory tracking,HACCP plan compliance or other purposes.
• Act as an advisor to Machine Operators if non-mechanical issues occurs.
• Complete Preventative and Predictive Maintenance tasks as per the company’s extensive PM Program.
  

REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATIONS

• At least one-year experience as a Maintenance Mechanic (food plant experience preferred).

COMPENSATIONLocation: Listowel, ON Employment Type: Full-Time Night ShiftHours: 10:00 pm-6:30am (Monday – Friday)Hourly wage: $29.61/hr-$33.31/hrKEY SKILLS / WORKING CONDITIONS
