AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY :
Reporting to the Supervisor, Surveys & Technical Support Services, the Co‑op Student will assist in planning, updating, and maintaining spatial infrastructure data to support asset management and operational needs. This position provides hands‑on experience working with geospatial data and municipal infrastructure systems. Training and guidance will be provided throughout the term.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of infrastructure asset data using ESRI GIS tools.
- Update infrastructure attributes using engineering drawings and relevant source documentation.
- Support the preparation and updating of operational maps to assist with infrastructure maintenance planning.
- Conduct data entry and quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
- Escalate data issues or concerns to the immediate supervisor for follow‑up.
- Deliver excellent customer service and collaborate effectively with internal departments.
- Adhere to all Corporate Policies and Procedures, including Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Protocols, and Health and Safety Standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
