In the winter months : PDI / annual inspections on all heat equipment. Deliveries on heat equipment and accessories. Assist with installation of heaters on customers’ sites as needed. Troubleshoot equipment problems on customers' site and over the phone. Preventive maintenance on equipment on customers' site. Document all service and repair information. Complete daily hazard assessments whether working on-site or in the shop. Complete a daily circle check on service truck when utilized. Organize the shop when necessary and put away heat equipment and accessories. In the summer months : PDI / Annual inspection on heat equipment. Pickups on heat equipment and accessories. Manage a fleet of construction heaters including annual inspections, service & repairs in the Ottawa Climate Control facility. Document all service and repair information. Complete daily hazard assessment(s) whether working on-site or in the shop. Complete a daily circle check on service truck when utilized. Organize the shop when necessary and put away heat equipment and accessories. What You’ll Bring to the Team Qualifications and Requirements : Valid Class G driver's license with a clean or satisfactory driver's abstract (no more than 3 demerit points) is required. You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request. Knowledge of construction heaters and an HVAC background is a definite asset. Relevant trade certificate is an asset but not required. Experience in servicing generators (as some heaters have them attached) is an asset. Must have your own tools. Very customer oriented, good organization skills and able to work independently. Available to work overtime and weekends as needed. Forklift experience is considered an asset. Self-starter – highly motivated to learn. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner.
