Role - Director People Operations.
Location - GTA
Hybrid - 3 days in the office and 2 remote
Reporting to CFO you’ll be a key member of the leadership team. In this dynamic position, you’ll play a pivotal role in the development of the company's growth strategy and in the execution of its People Operations plan. This role ensures that People Operations initiatives align with the organization's goals, promote a positive and productive workplace culture, and comply with applicable laws and regulations. You’ll oversee the People Operations functions of the organization but importantly you’ll bring your business acumen and passion for success to drive growth
Responsibilities :
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the organization's overall objectives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to forecast workforce needs and plan for future growth.
- Drive organizational change initiatives and foster a culture of innovation and inclusivity.
- Talent Acquisition and Retention
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract top talent.
- Implement retention strategies to reduce turnover and enhance employee engagement.
- Lead succession planning and leadership development programs.
- Employee Relations and Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees on workplace issues.
- Promote a positive work environment through initiatives that improve employee experience.
- Mediate conflicts and ensure a fair resolution of workplace issues.
- Performance Management and Development
- Implement performance management systems that align with organizational goals.
- Lead employee training, development, and continuous learning programs.
- Support leadership development through coaching and mentoring initiatives.
- Compensation and Benefits
- Oversee the administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure equity and compliance with labour laws and industry standards.
- Analyze market trends to recommend adjustments to pay structures and benefits packages.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Manage HR audits and mitigate risks associated with workplace policies and procedures.
- Oversee employee health, safety, and wellness programs.
- HR Analytics and Technology
- Leverage HR data and analytics to drive decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
- Implement and optimize HR technologies and systems to streamline processes.
- Payroll Administration
- Oversee the payroll function and ensure compliance with applicable legislation and remittances
- Finalize the implementation requirements of the new ADP payroll system
About You :
You’ve got excellent communication skills
You have a Bachelor's degree
You have at least 8–10 years of progressive People Operations / HR experience, including leadership roles.
You likely have obtained an HR certification (e.g., CHRP, CHRL, CHRE).
You’ve had experience with organizational transformation
You have analytical, critical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Naturally you are results oriented and comfortable working in an environment that is rapidly changing. You’ve got a knack for getting results while driving change.
You manage with metrics and seek continuous improvement.
You embrace empowerment and accountability to get the most from your team.
