Job description

Overview:

At Saje Natural Wellness, we're nature's original farmacy, blending the superpower of plants so you can remedy real life, naturally. And like nature, we're continually growing! As we continue to build our team, we're seeking talented people to join us: in our stores, support offices, and distribution centres. We are a purpose-driven, people-first organization where collaboration, innovation and entrepreneurial mindsets thrive.

We look for individuals who have drive and warmth, agility and passion, and keep customer experience at the centre of everything they do.

At Saje, you’ll connect with a dynamic community and make positive impact. Join our team and grow your career at Saje, alongside the most talented, hard working, and kind-hearted people out there.

The impact you'll make:

Reporting to the Store Manager, Retail Team Members drive our mission first-hand with our customers: you connect people to the healing power of plants so they can live their life to the fullest, naturally.

To do this, you'll deliver the Saje Experience to each and every customer, guiding their wellness journey through product demos, deep education and tailored recommendations.

All Saje Team Members are responsible for contributing to Saje's culture and maintaining a positive work environment for themselves and their peers.

What you'll do:

Store Experience

  • Authentically connect with customers and deliver consistent and exceptional service following the standards of our sales model, the Saje experience.
  • GPOP (Get Product On People) to demonstrate our product, both inside and outside of the store, to drive awareness and understanding of Saje.
  • Educate on our products and on 100% natural wellness, to make wellness easy, accessible, and inclusive for all.
  • Make bold recommendations to support the wellness needs of our customers, building baskets to create and expand on health habits centered on our products.
  • Contribute to a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion.

Business Ownership

  • Be accountable to your part in driving the commercial goals of your store and our business, and work as a team to achieve and exceed performance targets.
  • Generate business results and achieve key KPIs including revenue and comp growth goals, AVS, IPT, traffic, conversion, and loyalty program growth.
  • Complete tasks as assigned by the Store Manager, including visual merchandising, operations, and development.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • You’re comfortable working in a scented environment.
  • You're passionate about engaging with Community Members in a personalized, hands-on way—demonstrating how to use products and applying them directly to yourself and to Community Members to create meaningful experiences.
  • You have a natural ability to build genuine relationships through strong communication skills, empathy, and active listening.
  • You have a strong aptitude for product sales, consumer engagement, and sharing in-depth product knowledge.
  • You confidently make bold, strategic recommendations that drive product sales and consistently increase basket size.
  • You excel at identifying opportunities to upsell (try-3 products), creating compelling product recommendations across product categories that maximize Community Member satisfaction and boost overall sales performance.
  • You bring a competitive drive balanced with a positive, team oriented attitude.
  • You have a proven track record of driving results, achieving KPIs and inspiring team success.
  • You are able to have a flexible work schedule with availability on mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays; hours will vary based on business needs.
  • You are available during the vacation black out period between November 15-January 15.
  • You have earned your high school diploma. Due to the complexity of our products and our commitment to a strong learning environment, this role requires a minimum of a high school education.
  • Above all, you're passionate about your own wellness journey and believe in the superpower of plants.

Why Saje?

At Saje, we understand that joining a team is an important decision to make. The base hourly rate for this position is from $17.85 - $19.00 CAD per hour. Base pay is dependent on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.

In addition to your base rate, we offer:

  • Paid sick days
  • Generous product discount
  • Onboarding plan to ensure you’re set up for success
  • Employee Assistance Program - 24/7 support, resources, and information available to you and your family
  • Paid time off to ensure you're resting & recharging

Note: Incentive programs have certain eligibility requirements. The company reserves the right to alter these incentive programs, benefits, and perks in whole or in part at any time without advance notice.

Join our team!

If this opportunity sounds like you, please apply in the link below. Not sure you're 100% the right fit? We encourage you to apply even if you don't have all of the listed qualifications. We offer a thorough onboarding experience to set you up for success, learning and development support, and help you to integrate seamlessly.

Saje provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants and believe the best teams are made up of diverse perspectives and people. We offer reasonable accommodations to candidates with disabilities throughout the recruitment process and will work with you to ensure you are supported while working at Saje.
