Job description
Adecco is currently hiring several full-time Power Equipment Operators to support warehouse and logistics operations across Canada. This role is ideal for physically strong, safety-minded individuals with hands-on experience operating material handling or power equipment in industrial, or warehouse environments. Ideally, looking for experience with order pickers.
You'll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly by moving heavy materials, preparing shipments, and ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently.
  • Pay Rate: Up to $19.75/hour
  • Location: Brampton, ON
  • Shift: Day shift : 6:45 AM TO 3: 00 PM | Afternoon shift: 3 PM TO 11:15 PM

Responsibilities:
  • Operate power equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, tugger trucks, or centre riders safely and efficiently.
  • Fill/pick store orders using mobile power equipment
  • Pulling inventory for orders, using RF scanner
  • Preparing packages for shipment and packing goods in shipping containers
  • Assembling package material like boxes or crates and labelling them
  • Unloading shipments and checking their contents for accuracy
  • Assisting in other general labour duties
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Support recycling, waste handling, and proper material disposal as required.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production, shipping, and receiving targets.
  • Palletize cartons in preparation for delivery
  • Unload materials from containers using conveyor; sort received items onto pallets
  • Locate full cartons to pallets or conveyors in preparation for shipping
  • Follow all health, safety, and equipment operation procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6-months of experience in a heavy labour, warehouse, or industrial environment.
  • Proven experience operating power equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, tugger) - certification or license preferred.
  • Experience using Order picker forklift is an asset
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50+ lbs and performing repetitive physical tasks (bending, twisting, standing for long periods).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and proper material handling procedures.
  • Experience with computerized inventory or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) an asset.
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
