Are you a detail-oriented and driven Buyer looking to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? At Amico Patient Care, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials that support the production of life-enhancing medical equipment.

As part of a growing organization, this role offers the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally, influence supplier strategies, and contribute directly to operational efficiency and product quality. If you’re passionate about sourcing, negotiation, and continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and review engineering and CAD drawings to support accurate sourcing and procurement decisions.
  • Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and execute RFQs/RFPs; analyze supplier quotations and recommend best-value options.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership.
  • Issue purchase orders and ensure timely order confirmations from suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and proactively follow up to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and customer service teams to align purchasing with production requirements.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, including freight optimization and supplier consolidation.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing data and documentation within ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Resolve supply chain issues, shortages, and discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.
Qualifications:
  • 1–3 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP experience is an asset) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Solid analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Salary Range: $51,000 – $60,000
