What You Will Do We're seeking an experienced Staff Engineer, with a proven track record as a Senior Engineer, to serve as a key bridge between our stream-aligned teams and platform teams. In this role, you'll leverage your technical depth and leadership experience to drive platform adoption, establish and measure engineering standards, and ensure our platform capabilities evolve based on real team needs. Reporting to the CTO, you'll be instrumental in creating a feedback loop that helps both platform teams and product teams succeed. Be the voice of stream-aligned teams in platform decisions and roadmap planning Drive measurable improvements in platform adoption and developer productivity Create feedback mechanisms that help our platform evolve based on real needs Influence technical standards and practices across the engineering organization Build strong relationships across teams to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing Key Responsibilities Partnering with stream-aligned teams to understand their platform needs, challenges, and feedback Working with platform teams to translate team feedback into platform improvements and new capabilities Developing and implementing technical standards across teams, ensuring they're practical and valuable Creating and tracking metrics to measure platform adoption, developer productivity, and standards compliance Building tools and automation to help teams adopt platform capabilities and follow standards Leading technical discovery sessions to understand pain points and opportunities Documenting and sharing best practices, success stories, and lessons learned Facilitating communication between platform and stream-aligned teams Essential Qualifications 8+ years of software engineering experience, with experience in both platform and product development Strong track record of driving technical standards and best practices across multiple teams Experience with developer experience (DX) improvements and measuring engineering productivity Excellence in gathering and synthesizing feedback from multiple stakeholders Strong data analysis skills for measuring and reporting on platform adoption and success metrics Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate between technical and business needs Experience with modern development practices and tooling Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience Additional Qualifications Experience with internal developer platforms and platform engineering Background in developer advocacy or developer relations Experience with DORA metrics and engineering productivity measurement Track record of successful change management in engineering organizations Experience with service catalogs and internal platform products Derivative Path is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on any of the following : race, religious creed, color, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or gender characteristic, national origin, religion, marital status, medical condition, physical or mental disability, military service or veteran status, pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions, or any other classification protected by federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.  Derivative Path offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, 401k contribution, flexible spend accounts, and a generous paid time off policy.   Powered by JazzHR
