Job #4683 – Are you looking for a new challenge in an exciting industry? We have the perfect opportunity for you to join a very well-respected not-for-profit organization as their Finance Officer. In this role, you will provide support for the daily financial transactions as well as assist with financial reporting requirements and continuous system improvements. If you are a strong multi-tasker and excited to be the right hand to the Director, Finance Risks & Operations, this position is for you! Main responsibilities include :
- Assist with close process tasks including reconciliations, preparing monthly statements and monitoring bank accounts
- Prepare budget templates, contract invoices and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare year-end auditing working papers and provide audit support as needed
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Monitor and verify financial data integrity, identify any risks and resolve any irregularities or risks
- Prepare government forms, charity returns and support travel reconciliations
- Review and implement financial policies and provide recommendations for system improvements and solutions
- Formal accounting education
- Minimum 3+ years accounting experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills
- CPA designation completed or in progress
- Previous experience in a not-for-profit organization
- MS Business Central
- $60,000 – $68,000 annual salary
