Competitive salary of $38.11/hour About The Organization: Created in 2008 and privately held, Harmac Pacific Pulp operates a Northern Bleached Softwood Kraft pulp mill on the East coast of Vancouver Island near Nanaimo, BC.
Nanaimo Forest Products (NFP) Ltd., the owner of the Harmac Pacific trademark, restarted the mill with a single production line on October 3, 2008.
Since that time the mill has grown to five production lines and a capacity of 400,000 tonnes of world-class pulp per year.

In addition, as of 2013, the installation has been complete of a 25 MW Green Energy turbogenerator which we currently use to sell power to BC Hydro. Job description: We are seeking energetic, skilled and motivated individuals to join our team at Harmac Pacific Pulp Mill.
Under the direction of the Shift or Area Supervisors, you will support operations by cleaning and maintaining all areas of production.
New employees are all trained at the entry level jobs in production and provide relief for the mill, with an opportunity for significant progression.
- Shifts can vary from 10-hour or 12-hour and overtime, as required.

Key Responsibilities: Shoveling chips and sawdust Sweeping Lifting/carrying various wood and metal debris Grate cleaning Air lancing and cleaning conveyor belts Cleaning under all reclaim pit platforms Forklift and other mobile equipment Other duties, as required Qualifications: Possess a High School Diploma.
Possess a valid Driver’s License.
Safety Conscious & Focused.
Able to work individually & as part of a team.

Able to work varying shifts and days.
Physically fit.
