Robert Half is searching for a Network Administrator interested in joining an expanding organization! To excel in this position, you should be a results-oriented problem solver who is passionate about establishing and sustaining a stable network infrastructure. You will develop, administer, and maintain the network infrastructure to support the business by ensuring security, integrity and high-availability of enterprise systems and related components. The software, hardware, network security programs, and data storage systems you will work with change frequently. It will be crucial for you to stay current and fully informed through ongoing education. This permanent position is a great opportunity for a Network Administrator who wants to work in the Ottawa, Ontario, region.

Your responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues regarding local area networks / wide area network, including performance and connectivity problems.
• Coordinating and implementing network software and hardware upgrades.
• Administering the operation of all local area networks / wide area network related services according to company policies and procedures.
• Distributing LAN / WAN security, antivirus and spam control measures.

Job Requirements :

Minimum (3) years diploma / degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline;

Professional Cisco Certifications is required;

1 year of experience in the basic administration and troubleshooting of wireless networking solutions;

Strong troubleshooting, analytic and diagnostic skills;

Knowledgeable of network protocols, software and hardware involved in LAN / WAN operations;

Previous experience in production environments and being on-call;

Practical knowledge of LAN Vs. WAN;

Deep understanding of IT infrastructure libraries;

Aruba Wireless experience;

Adeptness in Cisco Wireless;

WAN Technologies experience highly preferred;

Comprehensive knowledge of CCNA Technologies;

Demonstrated knowledge of Cisco Voice Over Internet (Voip);

Splunk experience preferred;

Expertise in Cisco CCNA;

General familiarity with VoIP.
