  • Fabricate or modify parts using machine tools such as lathes and grinders, as required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation related to work performed.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support operational continuity.
  • Follow and comply with company and regulatory safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout and confined space procedures.

May include other related duties as required, provided such duties are reasonable and consistent with the employee’s qualifications and role responsibilities.

What You Bring

  • Completion of a recognized Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) apprenticeship program.
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification – Red Seal endorsement (433A).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude to maintain, repair, and align industrial machinery.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Solid knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Basic understanding of electrical components such as motors, sensors, and control systems.
  • Ability to perform precision alignment and basic fabrication or modification of parts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and preventive maintenance planning.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Assets

  • Experience with heavy chain conveyors.
  • Certifications such as Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), TPS, or RCM.
  • Equipment and safety-related certifications or training, including Forklift or Crane Operation, Rigging and Hoisting, Basic Electrical Safety, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, and Vibration Analysis / Predictive Maintenance.
  • Safety certifications such as WHMIS, Working at Heights, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, and First Aid / CPR.
  • Gas Technician 1 (G.1 certificate)
  • Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Familiarity with PLCs and automated systems.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment, with exposure to noise, dust, and industrial machinery.
  • The role requires standing, walking, and physical activity, including working with tools and equipment, and may involve repetitive motions.
  • Physical demands may include lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces, as required to perform maintenance and repair activities safely.
  • The position may require shift work, overtime, and on-call availability, based on operational needs.
  • No travel is required for this role.

What We Offer
