We are a family located in Sooke, British Columbia, seeking a reliable and caring nanny or aupair to join us part time. Our household includes an infant and a primary school-age child, so we need someone who is skilled in caring for children of different ages and just gets it. I am currently on maternity leave and need some help, some company... but not everyday lol and I will need some extra support when I return to work part time. The position is part-time and we prefer a live-in arrangement to provide flexibility for both the nanny and our family. However, the live-in is kinda more like a live-beside...You would have your own space in a private upper-level suite that has a separate entrance to the home that we would offer at reduced rent. Your responsibilities will include childcare (usually one kid at a time), but also light housekeeping and meal prep. We value a safe environment, so having CPR certification current or in the past is good. We offer a competitive hourly rate of $25 and can reduce living rent expenses based on hours worked, if you so wish. We are looking for someone who is nurturing, responsible, used to independent living and truly enjoys spending time with children.
