Job description
CNC Machinist

Location: Nisku, AB
Compensation: $40–$45/HR + Benefits + Pension/RRSP matching program

Are you an experienced CNC Machinist (not just an operator) craving diverse projects?

Our Nisku-based facility is scaling up its advanced machining operations and seeking a highly capable programmer and setup expert.

Step into a long-term role where you will pilot cutting-edge CNC equipment while receiving hands-on mentorship on heavy-duty manual machines. This is your chance to evolve into a top-tier, universally skilled machinist.

Advantages
Top-Tier Wages: $40.00 – $45.00/hr (depending on your programming and setup proficiency).

Outstanding Perks: Comprehensive health benefits alongside a robust pension/RRSP matching program.

Rotation Schedule: 3 weeks on Days / 3 weeks on Nights (with premiums).

Skill Advancement: We will teach you the manual skills that are disappearing from the trade.

Modern Shop: Well-organized, safe, and professional environment with a focus on high-spec energy sector work.

Responsibilities
New Tech Launch: Be a key player in running and optimizing our newly acquired CNC machinery.

Tool Training: Shadow senior machinists to learn the "art" of manual boring and threading for heavy repair.

Production & Repair: Balance high-volume CNC runs with custom manual repairs for oilfield equipment.

Material Expertise: Expertly manage feeds, speeds, and tooling for stainless steel, carbon, and alloys.

Quality Assurance: Rigorously inspect your own work to guarantee flawless precision and shop safety.

Qualifications
Proven Track Record: Extensive background performing independent setups in a custom or production shop.

Drive for Excellence: Highly motivated to transcend basic operating and command the entire machining process.

Certification Status: We are actively welcoming ticketed Journeypersons or advanced-level Apprentices.

Reliability: Must have reliable transport and a commitment to the rotating shift schedule.

Collaborative Spirit: Brings strong communication skills and a proactive mindset to a winning team.

Summary
Ready to take the next step?

This is the ultimate career move for a dedicated tradesperson seeking long-term job security blended with the thrill of operating state-of-the-art machinery.
