Type: Full-Time / Project-Based
Wage Range: $26.00 – $32.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

About the Role

The Infracon Group of Companies is seeking experienced Rock Truck / Haul Truck Operators for potential upcoming civil construction, mining, and pipeline maintenance work across Western Canada.

This role is best suited for a safety-focused operator with experience operating rock trucks, articulated haul trucks, or similar heavy equipment in active construction, mining, earthworks, or industrial environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely hauling, dumping, and moving materials such as rock, gravel, clay, sand, overburden, and other construction materials throughout project sites.

Our projects may include road construction, earthworks, drainage, mine support work, pipeline maintenance, site development, reclamation, and civil infrastructure upgrades. We are looking for operators who are reliable, aware of their surroundings, and able to work safely around other equipment, haul routes, ground crews, changing site conditions, and active production areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for operators who enjoy varied project work and are open to supporting projects in different locations throughout Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow site sequencing and production requirements as directed
  • Adapt to changing project priorities, weather, haul routes, and site conditions
  • Represent the Infracon Group of Companies professionally on project sites

Equipment Care & Maintenance

  • Complete daily pre-use inspections and equipment checks
  • Report equipment deficiencies, maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly
  • Maintain equipment in a clean, safe, and work-ready condition
  • Follow proper start-up, shut-down, fueling, parking, and maintenance procedures
  • Monitor equipment performance throughout the shift and report concerns early
  • Operate equipment within safe working limits and manufacturer guidelines

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all company, client, and project safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices
  • Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, field-level hazard assessments, and site orientations

  • Use required personal protective equipment at all times
  • Identify and report hazards, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
  • Follow all site-specific traffic management, haul road, dumping, and loading procedures
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork

What You Bring

  • Good communication skills and ability to follow direction
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to travel for project-based work
  • Ability to remain alert and focused during repetitive haul cycles
  • Strong awareness of changing ground conditions, slopes, traffic patterns, and site hazards
  • Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to support project needs
