Brannon Steel is one of North America’s leading producers of finished steel parts for Original Equipment Manufacturers and custom fabricators across various sectors including agriculture, construction, forestry and mining.  Since 1968, we have established a world class reputation for quality and service.  We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join our dedicated team.

The Estimator will be responsible for evaluating customer specifications, preparing detailed quotations, engaging in cost / profit analyses and providing technical support to customers and to the sales team as required.  This role requires strong knowledge of steel processing, steel grades, excellent analytical skills and the ability to collaborate across departments to meet team objectives and to surpass customer expectations.

Starting Salary : $65,000 or more based on demonstrated qualifications.  We welcome applications from less experienced candidates, salary range to be negotiated.

Work Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm.

Key Responsibilities

1.      Project Assessment, Cost Estimation & Quotation Preparation

• Analyze customer specifications including Bills of Material, drawings, GD&T and other requirements.
• Identify required material grades based on project requirements and determine most efficient material utilization.
• Assess cost-effective production processes to produce parts and accurately calculate labor and material inputs.
• Conduct risk assessments related to process bottlenecks, high tolerance requirements and machine capabilities.
• Complete comprehensive, accurate quotations that ensure all required production processes and cost have been considered.
• Perform sales related and other functions as required.
