Scope of the Position

The delivery driver staff are responsible for delivering orders and products to customers on a daily basis. They are responsible for driving to and from the pickup location to the destination, delivering goods/products and collecting the payment. They must ensure that they have the correct names and addresses of customers, and stay in contact with dispatchers for additional pick-ups. It is their duty to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the delivery vehicle and to ensure the safe delivery of the product without any delay or damage.

Major Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks
• Makes sure that incoming and outgoing products and material are in good condition
• Pick-up and deliver various items and products
• Use maps and other trip planning aids
• Perform pre-trip inspection of the vehicle
• Record trip information i.e., vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues
• Responsible for carrying out any other duties assigned by management

Skills and Qualifications

• Valid G license
• Clean driver’s abstract and CVOR
• Experience driving a 3-ton, 5-ton, and flatbed
• Responsible and reliable
• Excellent time-management skills
• Money-handling skills
• Customer service oriented
• Accuracy in following instructions
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
