Aerotek is hiring an Overhead Crane Operator for our client located in Delta, BC

Job Description

• Operate overhead cranes to safely move materials throughout the shop.
• Load and unload trucks using proper material handling procedures.
• Assist welders, fabricators, painters, and other trades personnel with various shop tasks.
• Cross-train in multiple departments to support production requirements and operational needs.
• Pick, stage, and lay out parts and materials for fabricators and welders.
• Assist with cleaning and preparing steel surfaces using sanding pads and grinders under the direction of shop personnel.
• Perform basic bolt-on assemblies as directed.
• Sort, organize, and count bolts, fasteners, and other hardware.
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Perform additional shop duties as assigned including:
  • --Sweeping debris
  • --Picking up garbage
  • --Rolling up hoses, cords, and cables
  • --General housekeeping duties

MUST HAVE:

• 2 years of working in an industrial/manufacturing shop
• 1 year of using overhead cranes
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Excellent communications skills
• Hand and power tool knowledge
• Be able to follow direction and work well with others

Shift

• Afternoon shift (2nd) Monday to Thursday 3PM -1:30 AM

Wage

• $25 - $26 an hour ($1.50 afternoon shift premium)
