Delta Hotels Marriott Calgary South is looking for a visionary and results-driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the overall sales and marketing strategy for our hotel. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the hotels market presence drive revenue growth and set the strategic direction for sales and marketing initiatives while bringing creativity and innovation to every aspect of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute creative data-driven sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue across all market segments including group corporate leisure and transient business
Lead coach and manage the Sales & Marketing team to achieve individual and collective performance goals
Drive market share growth through proactive sales efforts account management and strategic partnerships
Utilize hotel sales marketing and revenue systems to support forecasting performance tracking and strategic decision-making
Oversee creative and innovative marketing initiatives including digital marketing branding promotions public relations and social media ensuring alignment with brand standards
Analyze market trends competitive intelligence and performance data to inform pricing positioning and business decisions
Partner closely with Revenue Management Operations and Executive Leadership to align sales and marketing strategies with overall business objectives
Prepare and manage sales forecasts budgets and productivity reports with a strong focus on ROI and accountability
Represent the hotel at industry events trade shows and community functions as required

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel sales leadership experience within a branded or full-service hotel environment
Experience using hotel sales marketing and revenue management systems to drive performance and forecasting
Experience with Marriott systems such as CI / TY GXP MARSHA One Yield and Salesforce is considered an asset
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and market share goals
Creative entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to turn ideas into measurable results
Strong leadership communication and relationship-building skills
Strategic mindset with solid analytical and financial acumen
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as business needs require
