TYPE : Regular, Full Time (33.75 hours per week).
COMPENSATION : $123,218.55 - $149,947.20, 4 weeks vacation, benefits, and OMERS pension plan.
PURPOSE STATEMENT :
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of HR provides strategic leadership to the organization on all aspects of Human Resources. The Director develops, executes, and measures HR strategies, processes, and organizational objectives and aligns them to the FACS Strategic Plan to affect organizational outcomes. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of HR will have strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to foster a workplace where employees work to their highest level of service. This role will have a particular focus on labour relations, recruitment, training and development, health & safety, performance management, and continuous quality improvement.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Labour Relations :
- Provides expertise, support, and advice on matters related to the Collective Agreement interpretation, labour legislation, relations, and practices.
- Monitor compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and recommend strategies for addressing issues proactively.
- Provides strategic and proactive leadership, advice, and guidance on employee / labour relations issues to foster a collaborative work environment and meet the evolving needs of the organization.
- Leads the collective bargaining process, including developing parameters for a Board mandate for collective bargaining and providing leadership to the management bargaining team, drafting proposals to negotiate a fair agreement.
- Good knowledge of dispute resolution approaches and lead the grievance process from initial response to resolution, including investigations, preparing for grievance meetings, mediation, and representing the agency in all related meetings and hearings, including arbitration.
