Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting & Administrative Clerk with an accounting background to support daily accounting and administrative operations. This role requires prior accounting education or hands-on experience and involves billing support, accounts payable processing, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with accounting data and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate data entry for billing, invoices, and accounting transactions.
  • Assist with accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, processing, and payment preparation.
  • Support billing functions by preparing invoices, verifying billing details, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized paper and electronic accounting records in compliance with record-keeping policies.
  • Assist with account reconciliations and support month-end accounting activities.
  • Assist with year-end close and audit preparation, as needed.
  • Provide general office management support, including ordering office supplies and maintaining office organization.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of financial information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

  • High school diploma; working towards or have a college business or accounting diploma or University degree preferred.
  • Some prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance, or relevant education / training required.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general office software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with accounting or ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive, professional attitude with a willingness to learn and support the team.
