Our client is seeking a dynamic Director of Construction to lead their construction services team. This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring top-notch installations, and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the lifecycle of solar racking systems, including carport, single-axis tracker, and EV charging projects.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop and improve racking designs and costs.
- Coordinate vendor activities to meet cost, delivery, and quality targets.
- Provide technical support for continuous improvement of products and processes.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in project management, preferably in the solar industry.
- Experience managing construction projects from design through completion, working with subcontractors.
- Strong skills in cost control, budget management, and influencing key stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and best practices related to site construction.
- PMP certification is an asset but not required.
