RESPONSIBILITIES
•Respond with prompt first-person customer service;
•Responsible for completing data requests for various stakeholders;
•Collaborate with various areas of the school to build data marts to assist with decision making;
•Support the creation of the schools data architecture;
•Ensure the data integrity of the schools information system;
•Create appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process;
•Build analytical dashboards to help identify trends for the Admissions and Development teams;
•Assist in building knowledge base articles for students, staff and parents;
•Support the implementation of networking projects, new technology and security improvement projects across the campus;
•Responsible for summer preventative maintenance across the campus;
•Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Enrolled in a post-secondary Computer Science or Programming program;
•Provide excellent customer service and be able to work in a collaborative environment;
•Be a self-motivated and well-organized individual;
•Ability to assess and troubleshoot a variety of problems and issues as they arise;
•Ability to identify problem trends and broader technology issues, and research and recommend solutions;
•Ability to identify and assess emerging trends and technologies, and determine their applicability to the school/college.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
•Understanding of both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems;
•Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite specifically with Excel;
•Understanding of object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java;
•Knowledge of Pandas and NumPy would be an asset;
•Understanding of database related languages such as SQL;
•Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBi or Tableau would be an asset;
•Understanding of scripting languages such as PowerShell or BASH;
•Understanding of networking environments (LAN, WAN & Wireless).
