Work Arrangement: Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Markham or Oshawa office three times per week, at minimum.

The Role

As aContinuous Integration Developer (Architect Level), you will define the architecture, standards, and strategy for how GM builds, tests, and deploys virtualized vehicle software.You’llleverageyour strengths in CI/CD, embedded systems, and automation while expanding into cloud orchestration,IaC, progressive delivery, anddata‑drivensimulation. This role is ideal for someone ready to broaden their technical impact and shape the future of GM’s virtual development platform.

WhatYou’llDo (Responsibilities)

  • ArchitectenterprisescaleCI/CD systemsfor embedded, simulation, and cloud workloads.

  • Define branching, release, andqualitygatestandardsacross multiple engineering domains.

  • DesignGitOpsbaseddeliveryformulti‑clusterKubernetes environments.

  • Lead progressive delivery strategyincluding automated rollback and analysis.

  • EstablishIaCarchitectureusing Terraform modules andmulti‑environmentpatterns.

  • Integrate security and complianceinto pipelines and artifact flows.

  • Define observability standardsfor pipelines,simulationworkloads, and runtime systems.

  • Mentor DevOps and simulation developersacross the organization.

Your Skills & Abilities (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 10+ years of relevant experiencein CI/CD, DevOps, automation, or software architecture.

  • Expertisein CI/CD architecturefor large distributed systems.

  • Deep Kubernetes knowledgeincluding cluster operations.

  • Strong Terraform/IaCexperiencewithproduction‑grademodule design.

  • Experience with embedded or simulation workflows(vECUs, FMUs, SIL).

  • Cloud architecture experienceacross AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Knowledge of security frameworkssuch as SLSA or OPA.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience designingmultitenantsimulation platforms.

  • Costoptimizationarchitectureforlarge‑scalecompute workloads.

  • Understanding ofautomotive data flowsand synchronization patterns.

  • Experience witheventdrivensystemsand serverless orchestration.

  • Background inmodelbaseddevelopmentand code generation pipelines.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $137,300 to $203,000. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
