In this primarily remote contract role, you will help design and build reliable data pipelines that transform legacy systems into modern Data Management and Geospatial Platforms. Responsibilities• Design and implement scalable data architecture on Microsoft Azure to support cloud-native and hybrid environments.
• Develop data ingestion and transformation pipelines utilizing Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.
• Integrate information from diverse source systems such as ServiceNow and geospatial applications using APIs and custom scripts.
• Build and optimize data workflows using Python, PySpark, and SQL for cleansing and advanced analytics.
• Design secure data services and APIs using Azure API Management for downstream systems.
• Implement data governance practices including metadata management and classification while ensuring privacy compliance.
• Utilize artificial intelligence and automation tools to streamline pipeline development, testing, and monitoring workflows.
Qualifications• Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Five years of experience using Python, PySpark, and SQL to develop and optimize enterprise ETL workflows in a large cloud environment.
• Three years of experience building scalable data pipelines with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Workflows, Jobs, and Notebooks.
• Three years of experience designing trusted datasets and semantic layers using tools like Power BI and Synapse for advanced reporting.
• One year of hands-on experience using artificial intelligence for code generation, data analysis, and productivity enhancement.
