JPS Facility Maintenance is hiring experienced and reliable Crew Leads to run our sidewalk snow removal teams this winter. This is a hands-on role for people who can lead by example, manage their crew, and keep jobs on schedule while maintaining safety and quality standards. Year-round work may be available for strong performers.

Overview

Crew Leads are responsible for running their team during snow events and ensuring all assigned sites are cleared safely, efficiently, and to company standards. Leads report to management and are accountable for crew performance, safety, and complete shift documentation (including reports and photos).

All new leads receive training in JPS procedures and expectations before being assigned a route.

Leads who take pride in their work, act with integrity, and consistently uphold JPS standards earn trust, responsibility, and lasting opportunity within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Run your crew safely and efficiently throughout each shift
  • Be the point of contact between your crew and management / dispatch
  • Ensure safety, quality, and documentation standards are followed
  • Complete shift reports and take required site photos
  • Conduct pre- and post-shift inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment
  • Operate and train crew on snow blowers, sweepers, and related tools
  • Communicate issues, hazards, or delays clearly and promptly
  • Ensure crew members wear proper PPE and follow procedures
  • Represent JPS professionally on every site

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of snow removal experience
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license with a clean abstract
  • Able to safely tow and operate pickup trucks with trailers
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Available for night shifts and on-call work during snow events
  • Own appropriate winter PPE (insulated boots, gloves, outerwear, etc.)
  • Current WHMIS and CSTS certifications
