Job Description

In collaboration with the Senior Director, Revenue Management Systems and Inventory, the Decision Science Specialist contributes to the evolution, validation, and optimization of analytical models, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) solutions, and revenue management systems. The incumbent transforms data into actionable business recommendations that improve commercial performance and support strategic decision-making.

What You Will Accomplish

• Contribute to the evolution, maintenance, and optimization of revenue management systems, the PROS platform, and AI/ML solutions.
• Validate, test, and evaluate statistical models, optimization algorithms, and analytical solutions to ensure accuracy, performance, and business value.
• Design and maintain KPIs, measurement frameworks, and methodologies to assess the effectiveness of models and analytical solutions.
• Conduct statistical, quantitative, and exploratory analyses to identify performance drivers and recommend improvements.
• Develop, automate, and maintain validation, monitoring, and diagnostic processes for analytical models.
• Create dashboards, visualizations, and decision-support tools to effectively communicate insights and recommendations.
• Ensure the quality, consistency, and integrity of data used across analytical models and solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Revenue Management, Data Science, Technology, Development, and business teams in an agile and continuous improvement environment.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• Master's degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 4 to 8 years of experience in advanced analytics, data science, optimization, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or decision support.
• Strong knowledge of applied statistics, predictive modeling, machine learning, and optimization techniques.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and model development; knowledge of R, Spark, or similar technologies is considered an asset.
• Experience developing, validating, and enhancing analytical models, AI/ML solutions, and business intelligence dashboards.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, autonomy, initiative, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Good understanding of Revenue Management Systems (RMS), PROS, and revenue optimization concepts is an asset.
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and demonstrated comfort with collaborative digital tools and AI solutions (, Copilot). Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Oral and written fluency in French and English*.

*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
