Position Summary

The Guest Ambassador is a member of the guest experience team, responsible for delivering exceptional experience to everyone including guests, volunteers and employees, through support and delivery of guest service programs across the organization.

The Guest Ambassador positions available are casual-part-time positions that will require the successful candidate to work flexible hours throughout the week. Scheduled hours may be 0 – 40 hours per week with no guarantee of hours based on the operational needs of the team.

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver exceptional guest experience by proactively engaging with and assisting guests
  • Provide guests assistance with direction around Stampede Park
  • Promote a safe working environment.
  • Answer questions and assist guests in finding the information they require
  • Receive guest feedback, share information, resolve guest concerns
  • Be knowledgeable about year-round events along with the Calgary Stampede programming and services
  • Demonstrate creativity in finding solutions that put the needs of the guest first.
  • Assist and coordinate guest service programs for the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to continually improve through research, understanding and listening to our guests and our people.
  • Keeping service excellence top of mind in execution of event requirements.
  • Demonstrating emotional composure during fast paced and stressful situations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have worked in a dynamic environment where they have experience delivering on multiple priorities and will hold the following qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Intermediate computer skills considered an asset
  • Previous guest service work or extracurricular OR volunteer experience involving teamwork is preferred
