About Greenwood Court:
Greenwood Court is designed as a 'Community of Care' where seniors are able to age in place. As the needs of our seniors change, they have access to additional services and supports without having to leave familiar surroundings or newly developed friendships. Staff and volunteers are committed to making Greenwood Court "a place to call home" for its residents.
About the Position:
As part of the maintenance team, provide general building maintenance services to Tri-County Mennonite Homes (TCMH) and its divisions. Will be responsible for working with the maintenance team to keep all TCMH buildings safe, clean, and operating.
EXPERIENCE
• Previous general maintenance experience in an institutional setting is preferred, preferably in a healthcare environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques;
• Available to work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis
• Basic knowledge of general repairs, Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting, and equipment servicing;
• Ability to work as a team member and independently;
• Computer literacy;
• Ability to assess situations and make judgments regarding work to be completed; and
• Interact with sub-trades and suppliers as required.
Summer Opportunities generally start in May and end at the beginning of September.
New employees will be required to complete a vulnerable sector check (or sign a declaration if under 18 years of age) and TB test as part of the onboarding process.
