As a Resident Heavy Duty Mechanic, you possess a strong business acumen, are solution driven and motivated to exceed our customer's expectations.

What your day looks like:

  • Field diagnosis and running repairs of CAT General Line and Construction Equipment

  • Interface with customers, products and sales support

  • Large‑scale overhauls and rebuilds

  • Component replacements

  • Completing required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communication

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification (Red Seal)

  • Valid Class 5 drivers’ license with successful drivers’ abstract

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience repairing CAT equipment, 2+ years field experience, other dealer lines of equipment will be considered

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Self-motivated and computer literate

  • Strong experience with: Service Information Systems, Electronic Technician and Salesforce

  • Ability to work safely with minimal supervision

Important Details:

  • Please be advised, the successful candidate will reside in the Dawson Creek / South Peace Region

  • This position will work a Monday to Friday day shift

  • Must be able and willing to travel to and from customer sites across our territory

  • Tooled company truck supplied, hotel & per diem or camp when applicable

  • A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable

Union Membership: This is a unionized position. Union dues will be deducted from your pay upon hire. Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.
