Position Summary
The Opportunity
Northern Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Emergency Department team at Dawson Creek and District Hospital. This dynamic role involves providing emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced, team-based care environment. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with physicians and emergency nurses, supported by telemedicine tools and flexible scheduling. Advanced certifications required : ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and CASTED.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and manage CTAS 1 – 5 patients.
Collaborate with physicians and emergency department nurses to deliver high-quality emergency care.
Utilize PowerChart or paper-based documentation systems.
Engage with virtual services to support emergency care delivery.
Contribute to a team-based approach to emergency medicine.

The city is also known as the Mile Zero City, as it marks the start of the Alaska Highway, a 2,400 km long highway connecting Alaska and the Yukon to Western Canada and the United States. About the Hospital
Dawson Creek and District Hospital is a full-service community hospital that provides services to Dawson Creek and surrounding communities. It has 31 Acute Care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. Dawson Creek is the Orthopaedic Trauma and Surgical Centre for the Northeast Region of BC. Services include :

Salary Range
New Graduate NP - $145,739
1 Year Experience - $153,026
2 Years Experience - $160,313
