The Opportunity The Floater will work at our Waterjet shop located at our secondary location in Abbotsford, BC.
They will be required to complete various on the production team, inclusive of general tasks around the shop.
Tasks will include coverage for the Waterjet Operators and Parts Coaters.
Key Responsibilities Assist machine operators and welders in daily production tasks Transport materials, parts, and tools to and from work areas Provide coverage as a Waterjet Operator when required Provide coverage as a Parts Coater when required Maintain general shop cleanliness and organization Fill company vehicles with fuel at the end of the week or as needed Support overall workflow to ensure production efficiency Qualifications Education Post-secondary education or equivalent experience Technical training or knowledge is an asset WHMIS Certification (preferred) Experience Experience in a production or manufacturing environment Waterjet operation experience is an asset Experience working with chemicals or industrial materials Forklift certification or prior experience (asset) Skills Ability to read and understand engineered drawings Proficient with basic measuring tools and hand tools Strong computer literacy Willingness to obtain forklift certification Ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge Comfortable working independently Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and sitting for extended periods Wage: $22 Per Hour What We Offer Competitive wages, comprehensive benefits including health and dental coverage, EAP, RSP, profit sharing bonuses, flex hours and more.
