En tant que Lead mécanique – Génie industriel, vous jouerez un rôle clé au sein d’un environnement industriel lourd où les équipements mécaniques sur mesure, les procédés de fabrication mécano‑soudée et les contraintes d’installation en usine sont au cœur des activités. Vous serez responsable de la supervision technique globale des projets d’équipements et d’outillage, tout en assurant la qualité des conceptions, la conformité aux normes d’ingénierie et la réalisation efficace des projets.

Ce rôle combine expertise technique, coordination interdisciplinaire, et leadership d’ingénierie, offrant une occasion unique de contribuer directement à la performance, la fiabilité et la modernisation d’une installation industrielle complexe. Vous agirez comme référence technique tout au long du cycle de vie des projets — de la conception jusqu’à la mise en service — tout en collaborant étroitement avec l’ingénierie, la fabrication, l’assemblage et les opérations.

Comment vous ferez la différence

• Assumer la responsabilité technique globale des projets d’équipements et d’outillage.

• Encadrer et soutenir techniquement un concepteur mécanique.

• Valider les choix de conception et assurer la conformité aux requis, contraintes et normes.

• Participer aux revues de conception (concept, préliminaire, détaillé).

• Approuver les livrables d’ingénierie : plans, calculs, spécifications techniques et dessins.

• Planifier, exécuter et suivre les projets selon la portée technique et les échéanciers établis.

• Coordonner les activités avec l’ingénierie mécanique, la fabrication, l’assemblage, l’installation et la mise en service.

• Gérer les changements techniques au cours des projets.

• Offrir un soutien aux équipes de l’usine lors de l’installation et de la mise en route, au besoin.

Profil recherché

• Baccalauréat en génie mécanique.

• Membre en règle de l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).

• 10 à 12 ans d’expérience en ingénierie de projets industriels et équipements mécaniques lourds.

• Maîtrise des logiciels Autodesk AutoCAD et Inventor.

• Excellente compréhension des principes de conception mécanique, des procédés de fabrication mécano‑soudée et des contraintes d’installation en site industriel.

• Expérience démontrée en projets sur mesure.

• Expérience en analyse par éléments finis (FEA) — un atout.

• Capacité démontrée à agir comme référence technique.

• Compétences éprouvées en coordination, communication et travail interdisciplinaire.

• Maîtrise du français et anglais fonctionnel (lecture et rédaction technique).

Atouts additionnels

• Expérience en milieu industriel lourd.

• Connaissance des équipements de fabrication en industrie lourde.

• Expérience en mise en service.

The Opportunity

As Mechanical Lead – Industrial Engineering, you will play a key role in a heavy industrial environment where bespoke mechanical equipment, welded mechanical manufacturing processes and factory installation constraints are at the heart of the activities. You will be responsible for the overall technical supervision of equipment and tooling projects, while ensuring design quality, compliance with engineering standards and efficient project execution.

This role combines technical expertise, interdisciplinary coordination, and engineering leadership, providing a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the performance, reliability and modernization of a complex industrial facility. You will act as a technical reference throughout the life cycle of projects—from design to commissioning—while working closely with engineering, manufacturing, assembly and operations.

How you will make an impact

• Assume overall technical responsibility for equipment and tooling projects.

• Supervise and technically support a mechanical designer.

• Validate the design choices and ensure compliance with the requirements, constraints and standards.

• Participate in design reviews (concept, preliminary, detailed).

• Approve engineering deliverables: plans, calculations, technical specifications and drawings.

• Plan, execute and monitor projects according to the technical scope and timelines established.

• Coordinate activities with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, assembly, installation and commissioning.

• Manage technical changes during projects.

• Provide support to plant teams during installation and start-up as needed.

Your background

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.

• Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).

• 10 to 12 years of experience in engineering industrial projects and heavy mechanical equipment.

• Mastery of Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor software.

• Excellent understanding of mechanical design principles, welded mechanical manufacturing processes and industrial site installation constraints.

• Proven experience in bespoke projects.

• Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) — an asset.

• Demonstrated ability to act as a technical reference.

• Proven skills in coordination, communication and interdisciplinary work.

• Proficiency in functional French and English (reading and technical writing).

• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment in heavy industry.

• Commissioning experience.
