- Assist intermediate and senior engineers with design and project management tasks.
- Collaborate with intermediate and senior engineers technologists to design civil and water resource infrastructure such as major earthworks projects, dams, canals, drainage, pipelines, site grading, and drainage systems.
- Prepare reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Conduct preliminary engineering studies, including preliminary designs, hydrology and hydraulic modeling, dam safety assessments, and cost estimates.
- Support detailed design for pumping systems, pipelines, canals, drainage works, hydraulic structures, earthworks, concrete, and steel components.
- Perform construction administration and site supervision, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Communicate with clients to ensure project objectives are met.
- Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Junior: 0–5 years of relevant experience (recent graduates welcome).
- Intermediate: 5–10 years of relevant experience.
- Registered or eligible for registration with APEGS.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Aptitude for general construction methods; field experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with design software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM, WaterCAD; knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for occasional travel.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
