Role Description

This is a full-time Tool and Die Supervisor, based in Brampton. The supervisor will oversee the team responsible for manufacturing dies and tools in compliance with production specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and scheduling operations, troubleshooting tool and die issues, ensuring quality standards are met, inspecting final products, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency. Mentorship and leadership of team members will also be integral to this role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Tool and Die making, including troubleshooting and maintenance skills
• Strong managerial and leadership capabilities, with the ability to mentor and guide a team
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and machining equipment
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to address quality control issues and implement process improvements proactively
• Understanding of workplace safety standards; adherence to safety protocols
• Post-secondary education in Tool & Die Making, Engineering, or relevant technical field is preferred
• Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software is an asset
