Regulatory Specialist I

About the Role
As a Regulatory Specialist I, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of activities related to environmental assessments, licensing applications and permit applications for Ensero projects and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Supports all activities related to environmental assessments, licensing and permit applications for Ensero projects and clients with support from Senior technical SME’s.
- Conducts summary reporting and technical reporting for internal and external (e.g. regulatory applications) requirements, and generally supports the development of environmental assessment and regulatory applications.
- Analyzes and interprets environmental data.
- Works collaboratively with the Geoscience, Water Management, Engineering and Reclamation and Closure teams and proactively identifies opportunities to improve project environmental management and streamline regulatory processes.
- Provides corporate technical support to Ensero projects with regard to environmental management, regulatory compliance, governance and permitting.
- Keep abreast of existing and pending legislation and regulation changes which may impact Ensero projects or our clients’ projects. Coordinate and disseminate regulatory information within the company.
- Track project activities and support adherence to timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Participating in client meetings or agency communications as a technical contributor
- Supports the writing and development of client proposals
- Other related duties as required.
Minimum Experience & Qualifications Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Experience
- 1 - 3 years of previous experience in mining or environmental consulting with knowledge and experience with Yukon or BC’s impact assessment and licensing regime for resource development projects.
- Ability to work effectively with team members as well as independently
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business software
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
