Must be motivated, meticulous and have a passion for first class cuisine! Opportunity to be part of an electric, friendly, professional, state-of-the-art culinary and restaurant dining team. Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager, the Executive Chef’s main responsibility is for the overall operation of the culinary department. This leadership position works effectively within the team environment towards the goals of operational execution, customer service and employee satisfaction. The Executive Chef will maintain high standards of food quality and service. Responsibilities include total food production systems, including purchasing, menu development. Also : responsible for hiring, training and development of culinary staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Chef who wants to make his / her mark in the Vancouver Culinary scene. The proprietors are very supportive and open to provide a platform for the Chef to flourish.
Requirements
Culinary Degree or equivalency
Red Seal certification
Minimum of 2 years of Executive Chef Experience in high volume a’ la carte and Banquet food service
Comprehensive knowledge of food and service trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
Knowledge of federal, provincial, city, health and safety requirements.
Excellent management, organization, communication, and leadership skills.

- Strong Leadership qualities, effective decision-making abilities and able to direct staff diplomatically
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
