Come to work at Nature's Fare Markets. FLOOR MANAGER We are seeking a Floor Manager to join Nature's Fare Markets in our upcoming Chilliwack location!

We will be located at 45940 Promontory Road, Building A with a store Opening early June 2026 - this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, motivated individual to be a part of building a store team from the ground up. People are at the heart of what Nature's Fare Markets does and with this lens, the Floor Manager acts as the lead operator on the sales floor, ensuring smooth day-to-day execution across all departments.

This role serves as a developmental bridge between Department Managers and Assistant Store Manager, expanding leadership from one department to the entire sales floor.

The Floor Manager partners with Department Managers to ensure consistent execution of operational standards, develops foundational coaching skills, partners closely with HR for people management and supports Assistant and Store Managers in driving store-wide performance and engagement. We believe in people first; that must be your priority too. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Leadership & People Development Provide a visible and consistent leadership presence across the sales floor. Mentor and support Department Managers in scheduling, delegation, service, and operational decision-making. Lead daily floor huddles, ensuring priorities and expectations are clear across departments. Promote team engagement, culture, and adherence to company values. Model effective conflict resolution, policy application, and coaching conversations. People Management (Foundational) Support Assistant Manager with onboarding, training reinforcement, and engagement initiatives. Conduct initial coaching conversations, documenting concerns for ASM/HR follow-up. Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures across the sales floor. Provide input into Department Manager performance reviews and development plans. Operations & Sales Floor Oversight Oversee day-to-day sales floor operations across all departments (Grocery, Produce, Wellness, Bistro, Cash, Receiving/Office). Ensure store standards for cleanliness, organization, merchandising, and customer service are consistently maintained. Anticipate traffic flow and adjust labor or reallocate support across departments as needed. Partner with Department Managers to troubleshoot operational issues and maintain efficiency. Monitor sales floor execution of promotions, product launches, and merchandising standards. Customer Service & Sales Act as the lead customer ambassador on the sales floor, resolving escalated concerns with professionalism. Support store-wide sales goals through promotional readiness, strong presentation, and customer engagement. Provide feedback to Category Managers and leadership on product performance and customer trends. Assist with coordinating and supporting in-store events and promotions. Other Serve as the acting ASM in their absence, when delegated. Support and backfill Department Managers, as assigned.

Perform other duties as assigned to support store leadership and operational continuity. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 2 - 3 years of experience in a management position Minimum 1 year at the Department Manager level in retail (or equivalent) Post-secondary education in business administration, management, or related field preferred Strong technical knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite Experience managing budgets and financials Demonstrated operational execution skills Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the store including mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and long/unusual hours A good sense of humor with the ability to laugh at yourself You have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy being a part of many aspects of the business during your day-to-day You are values driven.
