The opportunity

We are seeking a Cloud Data Engineer – Senior Consultant for our Digital Engineering team. We are looking for a candidate with strong hands experience with Azure data factory, data lake, fabric, azure data analytics.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • As a Cloud Data Engineer – Senior Consultant, you will apply your knowledge and experience to support the delivery of key projects, build valuable relationships both within
  • EY and with clients.
  • Deliver data preparation, transformations on Azure platforms including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Data Lake, fabric.
  • Design and implement streaming data pipelines and work with large-scale, complex big data datasets and dispersed data sources in a business environment.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, build data engineering pipelines in Azure, and implement proof of concepts.
  • Support and collaborate with other Data Engineers and Data Scientists in the team.

Skills And Attributes For Success

  • The ability to provide excellent client service and manage and build strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Work with the vendors to assess vendor products, understand vendor's delivery models and assist in implementing them at EY
  • Ability to work across multiple projects with varied stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • Recognizes industry technology trends and emerging technologies, understands how they apply to EY and can drive their adoption into our organization
  • Drives an ongoing communication plan to educate stakeholders on the purpose and benefits of data architecture
  • Guide others in resolving complex issues in data architecture and solves complex, escalated aspects of a project
  • To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, data science, informatics, operations research, engineering, or a related field.
  • Awareness of emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF) experience is mandatory and experience in building streaming pipelines on Azure.
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in Data Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in Azure Data Engineering (ADF).
  • Expertise in data lake, fabric, azure data analytics.
  • Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Interest in Azure Data Analytics along with experience in programming is a highly desired. You will need to demonstrate strong technical problem-solving abilities

  • The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $72,000 to $132,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
