Job description
Our client is seeking an HR Specialist to join their Employee Relations team on a long-term maternity leave contract. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting employees, leaders, and HR initiatives across the organization.

The successful candidate will act as a key HR contact for assigned departments, supporting day-to-day employee relations activities, attendance management, discipline processes, employee engagement initiatives, and HR administration.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned client groups within the organization
Support employee relations matters including attendance management, discipline documentation, and employee concerns
Partner with production leaders and managers to provide HR guidance and support
Prepare and maintain employee files and disciplinary documentation
Coordinate and support employee meetings related to HR matters
Assist with employee engagement initiatives and departmental HR projects

Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
CHRP designation or working towards designation considered an asset
1-2 years HR experience in employee relations, HR administration, or HR coordination preferred
Experience within manufacturing or fast-paced environments considered an asset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
