JOB COSTING CLERK LAFRAMBOISE GROUP is seeking a Job Costing Clerk with accounting experience. This is a full-time position based out of LAFRAMBOISE GROUP’s corporate office located in Long Sault (Cornwall), Ontario. We specialize in fabrication and construction services, including piping, structural steel, sheet metal, millwrighting, tank and pressure vessel fabrication, electrical and instrumentation and prefabricated modules. With offices in Long Sault, Ontario; Syracuse, NY; and Bartow, FL, we operate across Canada and the continental United States. Description of Position: Responsible for supporting a portfolio of LAFRAMBOISE GROUP projects, including providing orderly record-keeping of materials, labour and other costs attributed to our projects. You will also be required to compare costs to initial budgets and estimates.
  • Establishing and maintaining a physical and electronic system of documents related to the costs of a construction worksite.
  • Categorize, file, easily retrieve and distribute documents.
  • Perform general office administrative functions.
  • Provide invaluable support to the Project Managers and their team.
  • Ensuring health & safety policies and provincial health and safety regulations are understood and followed.
  • Providing insight regarding project activities.
  • Providing verbal and written project status updates and reports.
  • Performing other duties as required.
Hours of Work:
  • Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm
  • Some overtime may be required at times
Skills & Experience
  • Possess a college diploma in Accounting or 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage concurrent contracts and projects.
  • Proficient at analyzing, managing, and administering contract documentation.
  • Possess a strong command of the English language, both written and oral (French / Spanish would be an asset).
  • Have a strong working knowledge of MS 365 office, SharePoint and other advanced office technology.
  • Ability to work in a safe manner, and in conjunction with the Ontario Workplace Safety and Health Act.
Salary and Benefits
  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience: (range $25/hr. to $30/hr.)
