You will join our R&D team of learners, builders, and experts in our Private Equity group, founded in 2020 with a mission to expand Carta’s total addressable market.

We are one of the fastest-growing businesses within Carta, and we are relentless in our pursuit to create leverage for our clients by deeply understanding the domain and the jobs to be done.

The Problems You’ll Solve

As we continue to expand beyond Venture Capital, you will help define requirements and build solutions for products that bridge the gap for clients in Private Equity markets. Here are some problems we need you to help us solve :

• LLCs operate on a diverse range of contracts; how do we model this variability in Carta?
• LLCs represent many different types of asset classes; how are these nuances represented in the data model?
• Private Equity firms, their investors, lawyers, and portfolio companies have many user personas and access controls; how do we offer great experiences to each of these users?

As a Senior Engineer on this team, you will play a key role in building the next generation of product features. In this role, you will :

Carta follows a standard tech startup interview process, starting with a recruiter and hiring manager meeting. You will showcase your skills through a take-home exercise based on a real-world engineering problem we encounter at Carta. We do not conduct LeetCode-style interviews.
