Forklift Operator - Shipper/Receiver

Randstad is actively seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Reach Truck Operator to join our team in a food production facility in Calgary.

This is a crucial role, and we are prioritizing a swift hiring process to fill this position immediately. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficient and accurate handling of goods, directly supporting the shipping / receiving coordinator.

This role demands a strong commitment to safety and the ability to maintain high productivity within a regulated environment.

Position : Reach Truck Operator

Shift : Monday to Thursday : 9 : 00 AM 5 : 30 PM; Friday : 8 : 00 AM 4 : 30 PM

Salary : $21 / hour

Location : Calgary, AB (Transit Accessible)

Responsibilities

Operating a reach truck to efficiently handle materials, focusing on shipping / receiving in the morning and order picking in the afternoon.

Verifying and inspecting shipments for accuracy and completeness.

Maintaining a well-organized warehouse and ensuring proper storage of goods.

Communicating effectively with team members to ensure seamless warehouse operations.

Adhering strictly to all food safety protocols, including wearing clean steel-toe shoes (provided by employer) and following facility health / sick policies.

Performing occasional heavy lifting when necessary.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications :

Valid forklift certification (Reach Truck experience is mandatory).

Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

The physical ability to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting.

Prior experience in a shipping / receiving or warehouse environment is a significant asset.
