The Accounts Payable Administrator will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager. A detailed oriented team member who is adaptable and likes being challenged is required.
Must be able to handle multiple projects and work towards deadlines with a strong sense of urgency when needed. The ability to prioritize and work well under pressure is paramount.
Responsibilities :
- Verify invoice accuracy, audit, and post IR batches for payment processing
- Process GL Disbursements for Cheque and EFT payments as per established cheque run schedules
- Process weekly EFT and cheque payments. Post pre-authorized payments and other Adjustment type entries
- Vendor management and new vendor EFT onboarding handle new vendor requests and updates, as well as verification of vendor EFT banking detail setup
- Review Workday expenses for accuracy of GST / HST / QST entries; verify proper documentation and receipts are attached
- Net-file Commodity taxes (GST / HST / QST) using CIBC, RBC Government Payment, and Filing Service (GPFS)
- Provide top level customer service to both internal and external customers
- Resolve issues, serve as a resource in troubleshooting complex matters and ensure that problems are responded to in a timely manner
- Provide assistance to other Accounts Payable Administrators as required (i.e., vacation coverage, training, etc.)
- Act as the back up to the AP Manager during absences
Qualifications / Requirements :
- Exceptional time management skills
- Resourceful and organized with great attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Address opportunities and challenges with initiative and creativity
- Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook are a must. Experience using Yardi is an asset
