This is what you will do :
You will have a key role in crafting the NF1 / Metabolics strategy in collaboration with the cross functional team and you will lead the execution of a broad range of initiatives to ensure patients living with NF1 / HPP / LAL-D are both diagnosed and have rapid access to life changing medications ultimately helping Alexion achieve its ambition for Canadian patients.
You will also work in a very dynamic and entrepreneurial environment as Alexion’s footprint in Canada is rapidly growing.
The external environment will be fast paced too, as a new indication launch is planned for early 2026 and new competitors are entering the space next year.

You will be responsible for :
- Leading the NF1 / HPP / LAL-D strategic planning process, including the development of the situational analysis, SWOT, competitive analysis, main forecast assumptions, risk assessment, strategic imperatives, resource allocation and prioritized tactics by channels in partnership with the cross-functional team
- Develop winning brand positioning, narrative and messaging to achieve our patient ambition
- Develop, implement, monitor and measure, marketing initiatives
- Develop and maintain strong cross functional partnerships and engagement plans with other key functional areas to ensure their respective plan is aligned to the overarching strategy (i.
e., Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Access, Diagnostic, PSP)
- Lead the relationship with strategic external agency and various partners / suppliers
- Accountable to lead the yearly cross functional expenses budget
- Lead regular business reviews with senior leadership on revenues performance, brand KPI’s and market dynamics
- Ensure full compliance of all projects and initiatives led with internal SOPs / policies
You will need to have :
- B.A. / B.S. in business or scientific field
- Minimum of 3 years Marketing experience with at least 3 years Pharma / Biotech experience
- Strong insights based strategic analysis / planning and execution skills with a proven track record of driving significant brand growth
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to various audiences, including senior leadership
- Ability to lead through ambiguity, react swiftly to change, remain agile and showcase growth mindset
- High emotional intelligence with strong ability to listen and understand the perspective of others to create a diverse and inclusive working environment and unlock people and business opportunities
- Worked closely with cross-functional teams including but not limited to Market Access, Medical, Sales, Commercial Operations, Finance and Regulatory, PSP
- Proven project management, planning and organizational ability
- Effective knowledge in key principles of brand management, HCP promotion and the sales process
- Experience in handling external brand agencies and vendors on a day-to-day basis and running promotional budgets
- Interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Ability to work on occasion during evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel as needed
We would prefer for you to have :
- Previous experience in sales, professional education / CHE, sales management, digital marketing, customer service models, diagnostic programs, rare diseases and specialty care
- Be Bilingual (French & English)
- An MBA
