If so, we want you to join our team as an Application Engineer / Specialist focused on AVEVA Enterprise SCADA. We are looking for a new graduate or someone with up to three years of experience.
Responsibilities would include : Design and development of HMI displays using the latest industry standards Configuration of SCADA databases Develop customer reports using Excel, SQL Server Reporting Services (SRRS) and other reporting tools Software development for project customizations including customer enhancements, communication protocols to field devices, scripts, calculated points and corporate interfaces Provide onsite support for system testing, commissioning and cutover including debugging solutions Perform bug fixing and maintenance on established products Participate in providing product documentation, including user level and internal documentation What qualifications will make you successful?
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a similar discipline New grad to three years of relevant experience You should also be a self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and platforms Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role Desired qualifications : Knowledge of programming languages including C++, C#, C# script, VB.
NET, and Powershell Knowledge of SCADA, preferably Enterprise SCADA (OASyS) is desired but not mandatory Familiarity with PLCs, Field telemetry and communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3 and EtherNet / IP, MQTT and OPC.
SQL database skills (queries, table creation, programming, reporting, admin) Familiarity with IT infrastructure and / or OT Security, including Active Directory is also desirable.
Travel : The ability to travel up to 15% of the time on average is required. In this role, the successful candidate will be required to travel infrequently across the United States and Canada to visit customers during the project design phase and later in the installation and commissioning phase.
