An establishedToronto developer with a traditional Monday to Friday officeculture is seeking an entrepreneurial Real Estate CapitalRaising & DevelopmentManager to lead capital raising and feasibilityassessment for a variety of projects ranging from lowrise infillresidential to mixeduse midrise developments.
Real EstateCapital Raising & DevelopmentManager will work in collaboration with seniorleaders to identify new development opportunities by leveragingtheir connections to grow the investment and project portfolio.
Responsibilities
Spearheadbusiness development activities including capital raising proposalsnetworking with potential private investors responding to RFPs etc.
Leverageyour network to lead capital raising for a variety of real estateinvestmentprojects.
Collectand analyze market data to support capital raises.
Developdetailed pro forma financial models to be used in the assessment ofprojectviability.
Criticallyevaluate and present the financial metrics (e.g. IRR Yield on CostDevelopment Profit Investment Multiple) for each new investmentopportunity including oversight of supporting assumptions andrelevant marketresearch.
Manageacquisition due diligence and engage and direct thirdpartyprofessionals andconsultants.
Negotiatewith property owners to complete real estatetransactions.
Participatein the ongoing execution of asset / development management plans foracquired properties.
Requirements
Exceptionalleadership and communication skills both verbal and written and theability to develop and maintain productive businessrelationships.
Aneagerness for investment sales and securing financing through yournetworks.
Aproven track record of securing capital raises with privateinvestors.
Strongunderstanding of real estate finance and investment principlesideally combined with 5 years of experience in the residential realestate industry including land assemblies severances municipal landdevelopment processes and mixedusedevelopments.
Postsecondaryeducation in finance business or commerce with an emphasis in realestate land development or urban landeconomics.
Anunderstanding of and ability to develop financial pro formamodels.
Highlyproficient in Microsoft Excel andWord.
Excellentattention to detail andaccuracy.
Demonstratedorganizational and multitasking skills competence in data analysisproblemsolving research due diligence employing innovative ideasand using soundjudgment.
Enthusiasticand willing to be a handson team player contributing to aconstructive workingenvironment.
